While this might seem minor, to me it is a huge advantage when precious seconds are ticking off your shot. 8 tells me 8/10ths or 80% of the way into that blue ring. Without even paying much attention to the 2 I immediately know I need to adjust into the blue ring, and the. If I have a Big Dawg 6 with a 7.1 mph wind the chart gives me 2.8 in blue.

The way this chart (and the wind chart from the generator on golfclashnotebook with the rings per wind option) is set up is so each whole number of a ring is color coded to correspond to the rings on the screen. So for a 1.0 mph wind to the north, you would adjust for 0.5 rings to the south at max club distance. For that same low wind of 1 mph, the adjustment necessary for the Backbone would be 0.5, or half a ring (the actual numbers are often several decimals long but for simplicity I rounded them all to one because I think a tenth of a ring is the smallest realistic portion you can visualize in the game). Whereas one ring had a value of 1.0 for the Sniper, the Backbone accuracy equates to 2.2. Let’s take less accurate club, for example a Backbone 3. That is the most simple explanation because of the 100 accuracy of the Sniper and low wind. So if you want to hit spot X and you have a 1.0 mph wind to the east, you aim 1 additional ring width to the west, and your ball should hit on spot X. This makes it so (assuming you hit a ‘perfect’ shot) the ball will hit right on your originally intended target.

So when your target is on the ground, you adjust your shot as desired and then pull your target 1 full ring (to the edge between the yellow center and the first inside orange ring) AGAINST the wind. So if you have a Sniper 7, which has 100 accuracy, that equates (through the mechanics of the game and club stats) to 1.0 for one ring, which means that in the presence of a 1.0 mph wind (at maximum club distance), your ball will travel 1 ring due to the wind in whatever direction it is blowing. Look at the chart while you read my explanation below and if I lose you at any point, tell me where I lost you. So I flipped it and devised the method above, which utilizes rings per wind. Even with the chart in front of me it gave me a headache. It assigns each ring a value of wind based on the club’s stats, but to me it requires a lot of mental math to be accurate (essentially each ring for a particular club is worth a specific amount of wind, usually with a decimal, so you have to adjust based on how many rings divide into that amount of wind).
